DOWN HOME COUNTRY CHRISTMAS, HUGE SUCCESS

by vickismith 3. December 2007 11:25

The Chamber of Commerce hosts the Down Home Country Christmas event each year for Kuna and its citizens. This year we sold 24 vendor spots. The vendors sold a variety of crafts to the community. Vendors were open for business 10am – 8pm Dec. 1st.  The children were happy to see Santa stop by Kuna twice in the day. He first arrived at 10am and stayed until Noon. He arrived again on the Kuna Hook and Ladder Fire Truck during the Night Light Parade! The packed Main Street Night Light Parade offered citizens glowing floats, horses, autos, Scout Troops, Girl Scouts, Cheerleaders, Kuna Middle School band and more. We sincerely thank Col. Fisher for agreeing to the position of Grand Marshall. After the parade a successful auction raising a record setting $5,285 for community charities.

A small army of volunteers made the Down Home Country Christmas events a huge success. I am happy to report all the events flowed smoothly. I would like to thank the following volunteers who assisted with different aspects during the events.
